Tensions between North Korea and South Korea continue to rise as the communist country states plans to cut itself off from its southern neighbor.

To cope with 'confrontational hysteria' by U.S. and South Korean forces, North Korea said it will block its border with South Korea permanently and will cut off railways and roads to the country.

North Korea's military says it will cut off road and rail connections to South Korea and fortify its side of the border in response to military exercises by the South.
