On Dec. 6, Russia launched a sweeping attack on Ukraine, comprising 653 drones and 51 missiles. Ukraine’s Air Force reported intercepting 585 drones and 30 missiles; still, impacts targeting primarily energy infrastructure were recorded in 29 locations.

Ukraine’s leader said Wednesday he anticipates handing over a revised peace proposal to the US “in the near future.”

Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. envoys on Tuesday yielded no public breakthrough on a potential Ukraine peace deal, with Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov suggesting unsolved "territorial problems" were the main stumbling block.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian, U.S. and European officials will hold a series of meetings.
